Parts Counter Associate

Job Summary As a Parts Counter Associate, you’ll help customers and service teams find the right automotive parts and accessories. You’ll combine customer service, product knowledge, and accurate inventory practices to support smooth repairs and a welcoming retail experience. Your impact: By identifying and fulfilling parts needs accurately, you help customers and technicians keep vehicles maintained and ready for the road. Duties Assist customers at the counter and by phone; build relationships through clear communication, professional phone etiquette, and attentive service. Recommend parts and accessories using knowledge of vehicle systems, maintenance, automotive diagnostics, and repair; refer complex mechanical troubleshooting questions as appropriate. Process sales, point-of-sale (POS) transactions, cashiering, and cash handling; apply retail math and negotiation skills when discussing options. Receive, stock, organize, and fulfill orders; support inventory management and control, automotive parts management, and computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) records. Coordinate with service and sales teams on automotive service needs, sales management, and marketing activities; use Microsoft Office and Excel to maintain records. Requirements Strong customer service, sales, client communication, organizational, and math skills; experience in retail sales, automotive parts sales, or auto parts and accessories sales is helpful. Knowledge of automotive parts and accessories, mechanical systems, vehicle maintenance, and automotive repair; dealership experience is preferred. Familiarity with inventory control, order fulfillment, stocking, POS systems, and cash handling is an asset. Ability to use Microsoft Office, including Excel; CMMS experience is preferred. Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are welcome.
