This energetic position offers the opportunity to work closely with supply chain management, inventory control, and customer service, all while supporting our commitment to delivering exceptional automotive solutions. As a key member of our logistics and parts administration team, you will coordinate sourcing, procurement, and parts distribution activities to keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities The Parts Manager ensures that all parts are ordered, received, and distributed accurately and on time to support a smooth repair process. This role plays a critical part in maintaining workflow efficiency, repair quality, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities · Verify part numbers, pricing, and vendor accuracy upon delivery. · Track backorders and ensure timely follow-up with vendors or suppliers. · Return and document unused or incorrect or damaged parts promptly. · Inspect incoming parts for accuracy, damage, or defects before acceptance. · Tag, label, and organize all parts for efficient tracking and retrieval. · Maintain a clean, organized parts area at all times. · Distribute parts to technicians in alignment with the production schedule. · Communicate delays or issues immediately to the Estimator or General Manager. · Build and maintain positive relationships with parts vendors and dealerships. · Negotiate and resolve any pricing, delivery, or quality issues professionally. · Track vendor performance and report concerns to management as needed. · Maintain accurate parts records, invoices, and return documentation. · Support insurance and DRP compliance requirements related to parts usage. · Follow all company policies on warranty, core returns, and OEM vs. aftermarket part procedures. · Monitor parts accuracy, return rates, and delivery timing against shop goals. Requirements Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse management, or automotive parts administration with a strong understanding of inventory control systems. Familiarity with CCC Management System Knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) standards, vehicle systems, and auto body repair processes. Strong negotiation skills coupled with supplier management experience to optimize pricing and sourcing strategies. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand automotive diagnostics and equipment repair procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for data entry, reporting, and internal communication purposes. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and demand planning activities. Ability to work collaboratively across teams while maintaining clear internal communication channels in a fast-paced environment.
