Position Summary Wheelking Transhaul Inc. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Parts Coordinator to join our maintenance team in Laredo, TX . The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, ordering, receiving, organizing, and delivering parts required for the maintenance and repair of trucks and trailers. This role requires strong organizational skills, knowledge of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts, and the ability to work closely with technicians, vendors, and maintenance personnel to ensure timely repairs and minimal equipment downtime. Key ResponsibilitiesParts Inventory & Management Receive, inspect, and verify incoming truck and trailer parts for accuracy, quality, and completeness. Maintain organized inventory of truck, trailer, and shop supplies within the parts room. Monitor stock levels and ensure critical parts are available to support maintenance operations. Track inventory movement and update inventory records in a timely manner. Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counts and annual inventory audits. Label, organize, and store parts according to company procedures. Purchasing & Vendor Coordination Source and purchase truck and trailer parts from approved vendors and suppliers. Obtain pricing and availability information from suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions. Build and maintain positive relationships with local and national parts vendors. Follow up on backorders, special orders, and urgent maintenance requirements. Process purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documentation accurately. Parts Pick-Up & Delivery Pick up truck and trailer parts from local suppliers and vendors as needed. Deliver parts to technicians and maintenance personnel promptly to minimize equipment downtime. Coordinate emergency or after-hours parts procurement when required. Ensure all received parts match purchase orders and maintenance requests. Maintenance Support Work closely with maintenance coordinators, technicians, and shop personnel to identify parts requirements. Research and identify the correct replacement parts for various truck and trailer makes and models. Assist in maintaining accurate maintenance records related to parts usage. Coordinate warranty returns, defective parts claims, and vendor credits. Administrative Duties Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory levels, vendor information, and invoices. Generate inventory and purchasing reports as requested by management. Assist with budgeting and cost tracking for parts procurement. Ensure compliance with company policies and inventory management procedures. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a Truck & Trailer Parts Coordinator, Parts Clerk, Parts Associate, or Inventory Coordinator role preferred. Basic knowledge of heavy-duty truck and trailer components, including brakes, tires, suspension systems, electrical components, engines, and drivetrain parts. Experience working with truck dealerships, aftermarket suppliers, or transportation maintenance departments is an asset. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift and move parts and equipment as required. Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with inventory management or maintenance software is considered an asset. Preferred Skills Knowledge of truck and trailer maintenance operations.
