Job Summary
Under the general direction of the designated supervisor, position is responsible for ensuring the timely ordering, receiving, stocking and logging of all parts, materials and equipment for a specific department.
Responsibilities And Reporting During An Emergency Situation
Essential Employees may be required to work during a declared emergency. Depending on the nature of the emergency, this may require working around the clock for several days on short notice.
Non-Essential Employees will not be required to work during a declared emergency. The employee’s Department Head will determine when the employee will be required to work.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Job Functions
• Create and close work orders.
• Order all parts, materials and supplies needed to repair equipment.
• Track all work orders and invoices using program provided.
• Order; receive; issue parts, supplies and materials.
• Responsible for upkeep of MSDS and equipment files in an orderly fashion to be readily available.
• Responsible for tank pressure and Tightness Tests for fuel tanks.
• Responsible for daily safety checks and arranging service for machinery under control.
• Assist with parts inventory and records.
• Responsible for completion of daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, as requested.
• Retrieve parts from parts store as necessary.
• May be required to drive motor vehicle to accomplish assign tasks. When assigned to Public Utilities this includes loading trucks with bulk materials using a loader.
• This position requires regular and reliable attendance and the employee’s physical presence at the workplace.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to operate necessary equipment, including computer, typewriter, telephone, fax, copier, printer, radio, and City vehicle.
• Ability to understand the organization and operation of the City and of outside agencies as necessary to assume assigned responsibilities.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and interpretation based on acquired knowledge in circumstances where limited standardization exists.
Minimum Education And Experience Requirements
• High School diploma or GED.
• One year experience in a related field.

• Must possess valid Florida Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
