Key Responsibilities
• Locate and source parts efficiently for cars, light-duty trucks, and heavy-duty trucks
• Shop pricing aggressively to ensure the best value without compromising quality
• Establish and negotiate pricing agreements and volume discounts with suppliers
• Develop long-term partnerships with vendors willing to work with a high-volume repair facility
• Ensure timely delivery of parts to keep jobs moving without delays
• Verify accuracy of parts ordered and received
• Manage returns, warranty claims, and core returns
• Track pricing trends and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Maintain organized records of vendors, pricing structures, and purchasing history
Requirements
• Proven experience in automotive or truck parts procurement
• Strong knowledge of automotive and heavy truck parts
• Established relationships with suppliers (preferred but not required)
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and sense of urgency
