Parts Associate

Job Summary As a Parts Associate, you’ll find the right automotive and heavy equipment parts and accessories. You’ll combine product knowledge, customer service, and accurate inventory practices to keep orders moving and build lasting customer relationships. You will assist the mechanics in services and update accurate service and repair records. Responsibilities Accurately write automotive and heavy equipment parts sales, ensure proper pricing, and product questions; communicate clearly in person and by phone. Use mechanical knowledge and familiarity with vehicle and heavy equipment systems to support parts selection and basic diagnostics. Process sales and returns using point-of-sale (POS) systems; handle cashiering and cash transactions accurately. Receive, stock, organize, and fulfill orders while maintaining inventory control and accurate records in inventory management or computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) tools. Support sales management through product recommendations, negotiation, and attentive customer relationship building. Assist mechanics in with services and repairs in our shop and in the field. Requirements Strong customer service, communication, phone etiquette, internet, and organizational skills; comfort with math and retail math. Knowledge of automotive and heavy equipment parts and accessories, vehicle and heavy equipment maintenance, repair, and service, and mechanical troubleshooting. Experience in parts management and accessories sales, inventory management, order fulfillment, stocking, or cashiering is helpful. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, POS systems, and CMMS is an asset. Valid Driver's License with clean driving record required to regularly drive a company vehicle.
