Larson Automotive GroupDescription: Mercedes-Benz of Tacoma Reports To: Parts Manager Summary: Assist the parts manager in daily operation by properly specifying, procuring, maintaining and supplying parts and accessories to all customers whether over the counter, through the shop or on the phone. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greets external and internal customers in a timely, professional, smiling and friendly manner. Listens actively, providing accurate information and advise. Assist all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner providing high levels of service to internal and external customers. Checks in daily orders, matching up the parts received with the shipping document and order forms, properly securing all received parts. Immediately notifies manager of any discrepancies. Insures that accurate and thorough information is acquired from each customer to accurately specify the requested parts and accessories. Pulls and fills orders from stock. Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials, and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product lines. Reviews shop estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate. Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order. Maintains current certifications standards; strives to continually increase technical knowledge. Seek new and challenging responsibilities. Keeps current on new products and product updates. Responsible for the overall parts department cleanliness. Including sweeping, mopping, dusting and emptying trash containers. Maybe called upon to carry out the duties of the parts driver. Participates in securing all warranty return parts and cores, factory or aftermarket. Also for arranging parts to be shipped back to the factory or to be scrapped. Participates in physical inventory counting. Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention. Research and suggest necessary information pertaining to parts request, providing accurate time and cost estimates before processing the order. Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order if necessary. Notifies the service advisor and the customer when special ordered parts have been received. Pull orders for delivery to shop making sure all parts are tagged with customer names and job number. Follows up on back-ordered parts. Verifies will-call and back-order files weekly and returns to vendors or stocks those items not picked up or required. Assists the outside sales representatives with their orders and concerns. Issues credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified. Keeps orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special order parts. Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery or pick-up. Solicits assigned accounts by phone. Logs lost sales on report. Communicates clearly both verbally and non-verbally. Submits concise, complete and clear legible records for both dealership and customer use. Maintains assigned work area, break room, and dressing room in an organized and clean manner. Exhibiting pride inthe work area and dealership. Maintains personal cleanliness, grooming and uniform standards according to dealership guidelines. Arrives at work, takes breaks, and departs work at scheduled times. Accrues overtime only with management authorization. Displays high standard of ethical conduct. Refrains from unethical, dishonest and theft related behavior.
