The parts department here supports a technically sophisticated BMW service operation -- the counterperson who fills orders accurately, communicates proactively on delays, and keeps the technician team moving without parts-related interruptions is one of the highest-impact roles in the building. What You'll Do Fill internal parts orders for service technicians accurately and efficiently -- pulling, staging, and delivering parts to the correct bay without delay Process retail and wholesale parts sales -- assisting walk-in guests and wholesale accounts with parts lookup, pricing, and order fulfillment Look up BMW OEM part numbers using electronic parts catalogs -- identifying correct parts, supersessions, and compatible alternatives accurately Communicate backorders, substitutions, and availability updates proactively to technicians and service advisors -- parts delays that aren't communicated create repair delays that reach the guest Process parts returns, cores, and warranty parts accurately and per department procedures Assist with receiving, binning, and inventory organization as needed to keep the department accurate and accessible Maintain accurate records in the DMS throughout every transaction What We're Looking For Dealership parts counter, automotive aftermarket, or comparable parts experience preferred -- BMW or European brand parts familiarity a meaningful advantage Accurate and fast with parts lookups -- you know how to navigate an electronic parts catalog efficiently and you verify part numbers before pulling, not after Proactive communicator -- when a part is backordered or superseded, the technician and advisor hear it from you immediately, not when they come looking for it Organized and detail-oriented -- the right part to the right bay at the right time is the standard, and inventory accuracy depends on consistent binning and documentation discipline Comfortable with DMS platforms or quick to learn them Valid driver's license with a clean driving record What We Offer $18 - $22/hr Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance and supplemental coverage options Paid time off and paid holidays Career growth -- strong Parts Advisors grow into parts specialist, wholesale, and parts management roles at Swickard Employee vehicle purchase and service discounts WHY BMW OF EUGENE A BMW store in a university-driven Lane County market with a loyal, brand-engaged ownership community -- the parts counter here supports a technically demanding service operation where accuracy and speed directly affect technician productivity and guest satisfaction BMW's technically sophisticated platform means genuine parts expertise develops quickly -- OEM catalog navigation, supersession awareness, and European parts familiarity are skills that build value in any au…
