Part-Time Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate

About the Position Legend Networking & Telecom is seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Part-Time Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate to support our Procurement and Projects teams. This is a hands-on position responsible for receiving equipment, preparing shipments, organizing inventory, pulling and staging materials for upcoming projects, and helping maintain an efficient and well-organized warehouse. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, stays organized, learns quickly, and takes pride in making sure equipment and materials are where they need to be when they are needed. The position reports directly to the Procurement Manager. Schedule Monday through Friday 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM Approximately 20 hours per week In-person position Reliability and consistent attendance during the scheduled hours are essential. Key ResponsibilitiesShipping & Receiving Receive incoming equipment, products, and materials using the company's receiving and inventory systems. Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and expected quantities. Inspect shipments for shortages, discrepancies, or visible damage. Place received products in the appropriate warehouse, inventory, project, or staging location. Prepare medium to large outbound shipments. Package equipment and materials securely for shipment. Create packing slips and required shipping documentation. Label and stage shipments for carrier pickup. Communicate receiving or shipping discrepancies to the Procurement Manager. Project Staging & Deployment Preparation Pull and stage equipment and materials for projects assigned by the Procurement Manager. Organize staged equipment so project and installation teams can quickly identify required materials. Perform physical inventory counts of materials allocated to projects prior to deployment. Verify that required products and quantities are available before projects leave the warehouse. Identify shortages, missing products, or discrepancies and communicate them to the Procurement Manager before deployment. Assist with organizing equipment for upcoming installations and field technician needs. Inventory & Warehouse Organization Maintain accurate and organized warehouse inventory locations. Assist with periodic inventory and cycle counts. Coordinate and oversee the organization, storage, movement, and handling of miscellaneous warehouse and project materials. Organize excess project materials, commonly used installation supplies, returns, and unallocated inventory. Return unused or misplaced products to their proper warehouse locations. Help maintain clear labeling and logical organization throughout the warehouse. Keep shipping, receiving, inventory, and project-staging areas clean, organized, safe, and ready for use. Able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Able to communicate effectively with Procurement, Projects, technicians, vendors, and other team members. Comfortable using computers and learning web-based inventory and business systems. Focused on accuracy and completing work correctly the first time. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory, or fulfillment experience preferred. Basic computer skills. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to accurately count and verify inventory. Valid driver's license.
