Part-Time Warehouse Lead Job Description Company: RivetDirect is a 26 year old specialty fastener distributor in Acton, MA. We’re hiring a part-time Warehouse Lead to keep up with recent growth in order volume. The rate is $40/hour with 10-15 hours of work available per week (Mon - Fri). Weekend shifts are not available. This position is ideal for someone semi-retired or someone with a flexible main job. Position: The Warehouse Lead will report to the General Manager and assist him in running all shipping, receiving, and operational duties in the warehouse. There are no sales, customer service, or administrative responsibilities for this role. The ideal candidate will have relevant prior experience, but RivetDirect will train you on the specific workflow required for the job. Once you are fully trained, you will be managed in person and remotely. To work effectively, you must learn the basics of our products, our part numbering system, our storage system, and our standard operating procedures (SOPs). Responsibilities: Assemble boxes for customer orders Pick and return parts from pallet racks based on pick list Pack boxes for shipping by UPS, Fedex, and USPS. UPS picks up from our warehouse daily. Short trips to post office or Fedex by car sometimes required. Create and print all documentation for orders - shipping label, packing list, product label, bill of lading, etc. Update physical inventory spreadsheet after parts are shipped. Pack pallets for large shipments. Schedule and oversee complete and successful carrier pickups. Occasional light product assembly Oversee complete and successful delivery of inbound orders. Carefully and logically store parts in pallet racks and record their location for future picking. Periodically reorganize inventory and record new locations to make room for inbound shipments. Troubleshoot and fix equipment problems - stapler, tape machine, printers, computer. Maintain clean, organized, and secure space: break down boxes, take out trash, sweep floors, clean surfaces, keep inventory on shelves, ensure floor is clear, turn off equipment and lock up at end of shift. Oversee professional cleaning twice/year. Rent van from U-Haul to pick up pallets twice/year. Transport product components once/year.
