Good Buy JamesJob Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Warehouse Helper specializing in furniture and antiques to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by assisting with inventory handling, order fulfillment, and equipment operation. Responsibilities Assist with the loading, unloading, and movement of furniture and antique items using appropriate material handling equipment. Support inventory control activities including stock counting, labeling, and updating inventory management software or warehouse management systems (WMS). Prepare items for shipping by packing securely and accurately picking orders. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during all warehouse activities. Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and documenting discrepancies. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse operations, improve logistics workflows, and support overall inventory management efforts. Requirements Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Basic math skills for counting inventory, measuring packages, and processing shipments accurately. Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy objects safely in accordance with safety protocols. Understanding of safety regulations including OSHA standards and proper PPE use during all tasks. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for stock stocking, order picking & packing, shipping & receiving tasks. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
