This position is responsible for assisting with inventory management, preparing materials for scheduled installations, receiving shipments, maintaining warehouse organization, and coordinating local material pickups and deliveries. The ideal candidate is proactive, comfortable performing physical warehouse duties, and capable of completing assigned responsibilities efficiently with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Material Pickups and Deliveries Pick up materials, parts, and supplies from local vendors and distributors. Deliver garage doors, operators, hardware, and other materials to jobsites or designated locations as needed. Inventory Management Assist with tracking, organizing, and maintaining accurate inventory of garage doors, operators, springs, tracks, hardware, and warehouse supplies. Identify and promptly report inventory shortages, discrepancies, or damaged materials. Job Preparation and Staging Review upcoming installation schedules and material requirements. Pull, organize, and stage materials for installation crews. Verify that necessary parts and components are prepared before materials leave the warehouse. Receiving and Unloading Shipments Receive, unload, inspect, and organize incoming shipments. Compare deliveries with packing slips and purchase orders. Report missing or damaged items and store materials in designated locations. Warehouse Organization and Safety Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are properly stored, labeled, and accessible. Safely load, unload, and move garage doors and other warehouse materials using appropriate handling procedures. Operational Support and Communication Coordinate with warehouse personnel, office staff, and installation teams to support daily operations. Communicate material shortages, incorrect items, delivery concerns, and other issues that could affect scheduled installations. Complete assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy and accountability. Qualifications Required Qualifications Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements for assigned driving duties. Ability to safely lift and carry materials weighing up to 50-75 pounds, with assistance or appropriate equipment for oversized materials. Availability to work Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday consistently. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and work independently. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Basic computer skills and willingness to learn inventory management systems. Ability to perform the essential physical duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, deliveries, or material handling. Experience operating forklifts or other material-handling equipment. Familiarity with garage doors, construction materials, or building supplies.
