Part time Transportation Driver

We are seeking a motivated and responsible Part-time Transportation Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers, including clients requiring special assistance while ensuring a positive and secure experience. Your dedication will help us provide reliable transportation services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who attend our day habilitation centers. Responsibilities · Safely operate transit vans, or specialized transport vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and vehicle codes. · Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and mechanical readiness before each shift. · Follow established routes and schedules accurately while responding quickly to traffic changes or unexpected delays. · Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing excellent customer service and support as needed. · Maintain clear communication with transportation coordinators and team members, clients, and families. · Follow emergency response procedures for transportation incidents, including first aid and CPR when necessary. · Obtain Class E license. Skills · Clean driving record. · Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, defensive driving techniques, and emergency stop procedures. · Ability to respond quickly and effectively to traffic changes or emergencies during routes. · Experience working with individuals requiring special assistance; understanding of behavior management strategies is advantageous preferred. · Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. · Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting passengers or handling equipment as needed. · Familiarity with emergency response procedures such as CPR and first aid certification is highly desirable.
