Job Summary The Systems Inventory Assistant supports inventory management through data analysis, inventory reporting, forecasting, and system accuracy. This position leverages inventory and production data to provide actionable insights that improve purchasing decisions, reduce waste, optimize stock levels, and support operational efficiency. Department Specific Responsibilities Provides hands-on experience in data analytics, inventory management, forecasting, reporting, and operational support. Collects, validates, and analyzes inventory and production data. Identifies trends and variances. Performs root cause analysis. Supports demand forecasting. Creates reports and dashboards that drive business decisions. Gains practical experience using Microsoft Excel, inventories management systems, and conducts inventory audits, reconciles physical counts with system records, maintains data accuracy, and monitors inventory movement to reduce waste and optimize stock levels. Regularly interacts with production, purchasing, and culinary teams. Builds a strong foundation for careers in data analytics, supply chain management, inventory control, business analysis, operations, and hospitality management. Supports inventory management through data analysis, inventory reporting, forecasting, and system accuracy. Leverages inventory and production data to provide actionable insights that improve purchasing decisions, reduce waste, optimize stock levels, and support operational efficiency. Maintains accurate inventory data and ensures the integrity of inventory records across inventory management systems. Collects, validates, and analyzes inventory data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improving inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. Performs weekly and monthly inventory counts, reconciles discrepancies, and investigates root causes of inventory variances. Generates and distributes inventory reports, dashboards, and key performance metrics to support production planning, purchasing, and culinary operations. Monitors inventory movement, usage patterns, and stock levels to support data-driven replenishment decisions and minimize waste, shortages, and excess inventory. Maintains and audits inventory management software by validating item master data, product locations, units of measure, and transaction accuracy. Analyzes incoming and outgoing inventory transactions to ensure timely and accurate recording of receipts, transfers, and usage. Collaborates with Production Managers and Culinary teams to evaluate product consumption trends, forecast demand, and improve inventory planning. Enters and validates actual meal production and service data within menu management systems to improve forecasting accuracy and purchasing recommendations. Performs routine data quality audits, identifies inconsistencies, and recommends corrective actions to improve inventory processes and reporting accuracy. Supports inventory forecasting by analyzing historical usage, seasonal demand, and operational trends. Develops and maintains standardized reports that provide actionable insights for inventory performance, food cost management, and operational decision-making. Assists with inventory audits by reconciling physical counts to system records and documenting findings and recommendations. Ensures compliance with inventory control procedures, data governance standards, and established quality assurance practices. Uses Microsoft Excel, inventory management systems, and reporting tools to organize, analyze, and present inventory data for leadership and operational teams.
