PART TIME shipping clerk M-F 10am-3 pm (EXPERIENCE REQUIRED)

Experienced shipping clerk needed for our air-conditioned warehouse near Fruitville and I-75 in Sarasota. This position is Monday through Friday 10am-3pm. Candidates must have experience running international packages through FedEx, UPS, and DHL software. Must be proficient with computers and be able to read, write, and do basic math with extreme attention to detail for maximum accuracy. This position requires repeated lifting, some heavy lifting and long periods of standing or sitting on a stool. The main focus of the job is receiving and shipping but some data entry skills are required. Opportunity for increased salary as your knowledge, experience, and responsibilities grow. Main Job Duties: - Receive incoming shipments and verify the contents against the purchase orders - Unload and load trucks using a pallet jack or other equipment - Inspect packages for damage and report any discrepancies or issues - Sort, label, and stock received items in designated storage areas - Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently - Prepare packages for shipment by ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation - Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments - Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of materials or products Additional duties to include emptying trash bins, keeping a neat and clean warehouse, assisting with data entry, and other responsibilities as needed. Experience: - Basic math skills to accurately count and track inventory - Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order picking, packing, and documentation - Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lift heavy packages as needed - Computer knowledge and willingness to learn our shipping and receiving software -Knowledgeable running international packages through FedEx, UPS, and DHL software This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are detail-oriented, organized, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
