Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting gardening tools, plants, landscape maintenance supplies, and related merchandise. Provide knowledgeable guidance on horticulture practices, landscaping ideas, and gardening techniques to enhance customer satisfaction. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties. Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract customers and promote featured products effectively. Support inventory management by restocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and ensuring product availability. Offer multilingual assistance when needed to serve a diverse customer base better. Assist with e-commerce order fulfillment and ensure accurate processing of online sales pickups or deliveries. Experience Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in garden centers, hardware stores, or related environments. Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and cashiering is highly desirable. Knowledge of gardening, horticulture, landscape maintenance, or related fields is a strong plus. Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are an advantage for connecting with diverse customers. Strong organizational skills to manage inventory flow and maintain an inviting store layout. Experience in customer service roles that require active listening and problem-solving to meet client needs. Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings to support store operations.
