Part-Time Roll-Off / Hook-Lift Driver (CDL B) BEST Dumpsters – Plainfield, IL $24–$28/hour | 15–30 Hours/Week | Local Routes | Home Daily Part-Time Now — Opportunity for Full-Time This Spring, or even sooner depending on business growth BEST Dumpsters is looking for an experienced Class B CDL driver to join our team in a part-time position working approximately 15–30 hours per week , with the opportunity to transition into a full-time position this spring for the right candidate as our busy season ramps up. This is a great opportunity for an experienced CDL driver looking for consistent part-time work who has daytime availability and may be interested in growing into a full-time position. We're looking for someone who is dependable, professional, comfortable working independently, and takes pride in both their driving and the way they treat customers. Schedule & Availability This position is being hired as PART-TIME , averaging approximately 15–30 hours per week based on customer demand and route volume. Our typical operating window is 6:00 AM–4:00 PM, Monday through Saturday. Candidates should: Be available to work at least a 6-hour shift/window between 6:00 AM and 4:00 PM Be available to work 2–3 Saturdays per month Have flexibility in their weekly schedule since routes and workload change based on customer demand Be comfortable receiving their next day's work schedule by 6:00 PM the evening before This is not an on-call position. However, because dumpster rental demand changes daily, the specific days and hours scheduled each week may vary. For the right candidate, this position has the opportunity to transition into full-time employment this spring as our seasonal volume increases. Ideally, we'd like to find someone who can start part-time, learn our operation and customers, demonstrate reliability and professionalism, and grow into a long-term member of the BEST team. Position Overview As a BEST Dumpster Driver, you’re more than a driver—you’re the face of our brand . You’ll safely operate a modern hook-lift truck to deliver, service, and remove dumpsters while providing a high-level customer experience on every job. Key Responsibilities Operations & Driving Safely operate hook-lift trucks in compliance with DOT regulations and traffic laws Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections (arrive 15–20 minutes early; punctuality is required) Deliver, pick up, and transport dumpsters to and from job sites and landfills Follow proper equipment handling and safe lifting procedures Maintain a clean, organized, and well-kept truck Technology & Reporting Use company driver app to: Check in/out of jobs Upload job site photos Record landfill weights and tickets Accurately track dumpster inventory using serial numbers Submit fuel receipts, scale tickets, and required documentation daily Report maintenance issues or mechanical concerns promptly Customer Experience Provide friendly, professional, high-energy service at every stop: Introduce yourself and represent the brand professionally Confirm dumpster placement with the customer Explain fill line, door operation, and prohibited materials Maintain a clean appearance and positive attitude at all times Qualifications & Requirements Licensing & Driving Record Valid Class B CDL with Air Brake Endorsement (minimum) Valid DOT Medical Card (or ability to obtain before hire) Clean driving record: No DUI/OVI in the last 5 years (or no more than 2 in 10 years) No license suspensions within th…
