Home Base: Waddy, Kentucky Position: Part-Time Refrigerated Trailer Delivery Driver (1099 Independent Subcontractor) Pay: $20.00 per hour | Guaranteed 20 Hours Per Week MOBILE ICE BOX is seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Part-Time Refrigerated Trailer Delivery Driver to join our Kentucky team as a 1099 independent subcontractor. The ideal candidate lives within 30 minutes of Waddy, Kentucky, has experience towing and backing trailers, and has basic mechanical knowledge. This position involves delivering, setting up, testing, and picking up refrigerated trailers at customer locations throughout Kentucky and surrounding states. Position Type This is a 1099 independent subcontractor position, not a W-2 employee position. Subcontractors are responsible for their own taxes at the end of the year, including income and self-employment taxes. Job Responsibilities Deliver and pick up refrigerated trailers at customer locations. Safely pull, maneuver, and back a 20-foot refrigerated trailer. Set up and test refrigeration units on-site to ensure proper operation. Clean and sanitize each trailer after pickup and prepare it for the next job. Respond to service calls when a trailer is not cooling, including on-site troubleshooting and basic repairs to the unit. Perform basic trailer maintenance and minor mechanical repairs as needed. Provide professional and dependable customer service. Handle occasional after-hours, evening, and weekend deliveries, pickups, and service calls. Delivery Territory Travel will include customer locations throughout: Kentucky Tennessee Indiana Ohio Missouri Residency Requirement Applicants must live within a 30-minute drive of Waddy, Kentucky. Qualifications Clean driving record. Previous trailer towing experience required. Comfortable towing and backing a 20-foot trailer. Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules. Dependable, punctual, and customer-service oriented. Availability for occasional after-hours, weekend, and service-call work. Willingness to travel and occasionally stay overnight.
