Part-Time Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver (1099 Independent Contractor)

Part-Time Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver — 1099 Independent Contractor Location: Port St. Lucie, FL Pay: $17–$19 per hour, based on experience Openings: Three regular driver positions and two backup/on-call positions. Schedule Regular drivers: about three set days per week to start, with possible extra days as ride volume grows. Backup drivers may have on-call opportunities. About the role Transport passengers for non-emergency medical trips and assist passengers with mobility devices. Required NEMT training must be completed before working independent shifts. Additional training may be required after hire, depending on contract requirements. Requirements Valid Florida driver’s license and clean driving record Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen Reliable, professional communication Comfortable using GPS and smartphone apps Able to assist passengers with mobility devices Willing to complete required NEMT training before independent shifts Preferred, but not initially required CPR, first aid, defensive driving, PASS, or wheelchair securement training or certification.
