Part-Time Logistics & Safety Compliance Clerk Job Description: An established, 5-year-old interstate commercial trucking company is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Logistics & Safety Compliance Clerk to staff our new Houston operational office. This is an ideal role for college students, stay-at-home parents, or anyone seeking a steady, low-stress, 10-hour-per-week schedule with no weekend or evening hours.The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain our physical office presence during posted business hours, handle incoming administrative requests, and organize critical fleet safety and compliance documentation. Responsibilities Office Presence: Main target is to ensure the administrative suite is physically open, staffed, and accessible during the designated hours of 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM every Tuesday and Thursday. Document Organization: Receive, scan, and digitally file commercial driver logs, fuel receipts, maintenance manifests, and freight settlement paperwork. Communication: Act as the first point of contact for localized office drop-ins, incoming mail distribution, and basic phone inquiries regarding dispatch routing or fleet documentation. Compliance Audit Support: Maintain neat, up-to-date physical binders of DOT and FMCSA regulatory folders kept on-site at the office. Skills Must be a reliable Texas resident with dependable transportation to the 396 W Greens Rd office. Basic computer skills (comfortable with scanning documents, uploading files, and using basic spreadsheets). Strong organizational skills and an eye for detail. Professional, welcoming demeanor when handling basic phone calls or office inquiries. Prior experience in trucking, dispatching, or logistics is a plus, but not required!
