Part-Time Inventory & Retail Operations Associate

Join a Santa Monica business celebrating 40 years of supporting growing families. We are seeking a reliable, organized, and energetic team member to join our growing team. This part-time position will initially focus on inventory management, receiving, warehouse coordination, shipping and receiving, product transportation, classroom setup, and general store operations. As you become familiar with our products, services, and company culture, opportunities will expand into assisting customers on the sales floor. Because our specialty product categories include car seats, strollers, breast pumps, feeding supplies, and other parenting essentials, developing the knowledge needed to confidently support customers requires time and training. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys staying active, takes pride in keeping things organized, and is excited to gradually develop expertise in both retail operations and customer service. Primary Responsibilities Inventory & Warehouse Operations Receive, inspect, and organize incoming inventory Transport merchandise, supplies, and equipment between warehouse and retail location and occasionally make home deliveries Maintain organized stockrooms and warehouse areas Assist with inventory counts and stock management Prepare and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently Restock sales floor merchandise as needed Assemble, move, and organize merchandise and displays Store Support & Facilities Set up and break down classrooms for educational programs and events Prepare spaces for classes, consultations, and community gatherings Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment throughout the store Support daily operational needs across the business Customer Service & Sales Development Greet and assist customers as needed Learn the features and benefits of our product lines Become familiar with our classes, consultations, support services, and community resources Assist sales associates during busy periods Gradually take on a larger customer-facing role as product knowledge and confidence increase Qualifications Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Positive attitude and strong work ethic Dependable, self-motivated, and eager to learn Strong customer service and communication skills Valid driver's license with a good driving record required Ability and willingness to drive between retail and warehouse locations as part of regular job responsibilities Comfortable working in a physically active role Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and move 50+ pounds regularly Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic computer and technology skills Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who enjoys staying busy, takes initiative, and understands that great customer experiences depend on strong operational support behind the scenes.
