We audit liquor and food inventory for bars and restaurants in the Chicago area. Owners use our counts to see where their money goes, so accuracy is the whole job. If you are careful with numbers and like getting things right, this is for you. What you will do Go to client bars and restaurants and count every bottle, keg, case and food item in the app we train you on. Weigh open bottles. Check your own work and fix mistakes before you leave. Weigh kegs too. Finish a typical venue in about 5 hours once trained. The job, honestly This is a part-time W-2 position. Count start times vary and are often early in the morning, around 5:00 a.m. Hours depend on the count schedule. Expect about 15 to 20 hours a week. You work alone, usually before the venue opens. You will still talk with the bar or restaurant manager and staff when you arrive and when you finish. You will spend part of each count in walk-in coolers and sometimes freezers. You will lift and move cases and kegs. Occasionally you will lift a full keg (about 163 lb, 74 kg) onto another keg and take one off a stack down to the floor to weigh it. You will do this alone, and a hand truck will not help. Please be sure you can do this safely. We will talk with you about any reasonable accommodation. You drive to client sites. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. We reimburse mileage. Dress: long pants and a company long-sleeve t-shirt. Closed-toe shoes only (no open-toed shoes), as kitchens require. Bring a jacket for the walk-in coolers. Room to grow Counting is where everyone starts. Many of our account managers began as counters, and several people who started as counters went on to own their own Sculpture Hospitality franchise. Do great work and you can grow into client-facing roles and beyond. You should have A record of showing up on time, every time. Patience for detail and honesty with numbers. Comfort with a phone or tablet and basic apps. Clear English, spoken and written. You will talk with managers, owners and kitchen staff, and we want people who can grow into talking with clients. Inventory, bartending, stockroom, warehouse or cycle counting experience is a plus. We will train you. Pay $22 to $28 an hour, depending on experience. Paid training. Mileage reimbursed.
