Part-time Hospital Supply Clerk / Patient Product Specialist

PATIENT PRODUCT SPECIALIST / HOSPITAL SUPPLY CLERK NEEDED PART-TIME (DAYTIME) OrthoXpress and West Coast DME & Supplies, LLC is a fast-paced, innovative and growing sports medicine company with an immediate need for a part-time Hospital Supply Clerk and Patient Product Specialist. In this position you would be driving to service our patients and healthcare facilities in the primarily in National City and opportunities in surrounding San Diego areas. Hospital supply requires one time per week visits with occasional additional visits on an as needed basis. You will be trained on the handling of our inventory items at our select hospitals, as well as how to setup patients on our durable medical equipment, to include pickup after the rental period ends. The hourly wage increases as more products are learned. This is a part-time position, paid per hour based on the time worked at each hospital visit and/or patient order received that you handle. This job allows for some flexibility with work hours, but does require daytime availability to handle the hospital. It is the perfect job for someone looking for part-time, supplemental income. Based upon your availability and the orders for the area, there is the potential to work approximately 3 to 10 hours per week or 6 or more hours per ''biweekly'' pay period. (Number of hours are not guaranteed.) The wage range is from $19.00 to $23.00 per hour based on experience and products learned. If you have previous healthcare experience or hospital inventory experience, especially in the durable medical equipment, orthopedic, sports medicine, or physical therapy fields, this is a plus. Requirements: Must have your own reliable vehicle large enough to transport durable medical equipment (large trunk, seats that go down, or SUV works) Have a valid driver's license Have and keep valid auto insurance Must have a clean driving record Background check required Tuberculosis (TB) Test required Must be able to walk, utilize stairs, bend, stoop, and lift/carry up to 50 pounds Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written Must have your own cell phone and be comfortable using phone apps and Microsoft Outlook. If hired, must have access to a computer or iPad to do online onboarding and online training. Experience: One year’s experience as a hospital supply clerk, or experience with durable medical equipment in the orthopedic, sports medicine or physical therapy fields a plus. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Travel / Work Location: This job requires driving to hospitals, patient homes and/or healthcare facilities up to 100% of the time. You would only do needed administrative type tasks from your home before and/or after going to a hospital or seeing a patient. Administrative would take up to approximately 3% of your time from home.
