Shandy Last Mile Logistics (DSP) is seeking a dependable Part-Time Fleet Compliance Specialist to support our evening Return to Station (RTS) operations. This position is responsible for conducting thorough visual inspections of returning delivery vans, documenting vehicle concerns, checking and replenishing supplies, and ensuring accurate fleet information is available for the Fleet Technician and Operations team the following morning. This is an active, hands-on inspection and administrative position, not a mechanical repair role or desk-based position. What You'll Do Evening RTS & Vehicle Inspections Actively inspect returning delivery vans during the evening Return to Station (RTS) process. Conduct thorough visual inspections of vehicle interiors and exteriors for damage, cleanliness concerns, missing equipment, and other visible deficiencies. Check tires, mirrors, lights, and required safety equipment for visible concerns using established inspection procedures. Communicate directly with Delivery Associates to identify vehicle concerns experienced during their routes. Verify and document driver-reported issues using the appropriate inspection checklist or reporting system. Promptly report safety-related concerns and vehicles requiring further evaluation. Maintain an active presence in the RTS area, regularly walking between and inspecting vehicles rather than remaining seated throughout the shift. Vehicle Supplies & Readiness Inspect delivery vans for missing or depleted supplies, including approved cleaning products, wipes, and other required vehicle materials. Replenish available supplies as needed and accurately document items that have been restocked. Record missing, damaged, or unavailable supplies on the appropriate checklist. Maintain organization and accountability of designated vehicle supply areas. Identify vehicles requiring additional cleaning, supplies, or attention before the next operating day. Fleet Documentation & Reporting Complete detailed vehicle inspection checklists and maintain accurate digital records. Document vehicle unit numbers, reported concerns, visible damage, missing equipment, and completed supply replenishment. Review driver-reported vehicle concerns and ensure they are accurately recorded for follow-up. Maintain organized fleet inspection logs and evening status reports. Prepare clear and complete documentation for the Fleet Technician to review the following morning. Communicate unresolved issues and urgent safety concerns to Operations leadership. Ensure assigned inspections, checklists, and reports are completed before the end of each shift. Team Communication & Operational Support Maintain professional communication with Delivery Associates, Operations leadership, and Fleet personnel. Follow established inspection, documentation, and escalation procedures. Take initiative to identify concerns and complete assigned tasks without constant supervision.
