Part-Time Fleet Assistant – Vehicle Cleaning & Maintenance

About the Opportunity Perception Rental Group is a growing local car rental business looking for a dependable, motivated individual to help maintain and manage our fleet of rental vehicles. This is a hands-on, flexible part-time opportunity for someone who enjoys working around cars, is mechanically inclined, and can work independently. No professional automotive experience is required. We're looking for someone reliable, responsible, willing to learn, and interested in growing their skills. Primary Responsibilities Vehicle Cleaning & Preparation Clean vehicle interiors and exteriors between rentals. Vacuum, wipe down surfaces, clean windows, and remove trash. Prepare vehicles for their next rental customer. Take photos documenting vehicle condition. Basic Maintenance & Inspections Check tire pressure, fluid levels, lights, and wiper blades. Complete a simple vehicle inspection checklist using a smartphone. Identify and report mechanical problems, damage, or maintenance needs. Perform minor maintenance tasks when trained and authorized. Fleet Transportation & Recovery Move vehicles between designated locations. Deliver and pick up vehicles from repair shops and other approved locations. Assist with authorized vehicle recovery and repossession coordination, following company procedures and applicable laws. Document vehicle location, mileage, fuel levels, and condition. What We're Looking For Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Reliable transportation to and from work. Comfortable driving different types of passenger vehicles. Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance or willingness to learn. Comfortable using smartphone apps, taking pictures, and completing checklists.
