Part Time Flagger & Traffic Control Laborer

Job Responsibilities: Complete assigned traffic control tasks which include but are not limited to driving a Truck Mounted Attenuator (TMA), cone truck, or other support vehicle to specified locations, assist in setting up/taking down lane closures on state highways or other roadways per TXDOT guidelines to provide protection from traffic. Operates a variety of light and heavy equipment involved in construction and maintenance projects such as rollers, graders, backhoes, front-end loaders, forklifts, dump trucks, or bulldozers. Performs preventive maintenance inspections, routine servicing on equipment. By be asked to perform other work-related duties as assigned. Safety and awareness are very important aspects of this position. REQUIREMENTS: MUST have a VALID Driver's License Traffic Control experience and/or operating heavy equipment is PREFERED Candidates must possess good knowledge of state and local roadways and have experience with operating large vehicles of varying sizes Must be able to work day shifts/weekends as project demands Must be able to pass a drug test and background check Flagger, TCT certification, heavy equipment operator license or certification is a PLUS! SCHEDULE: 16-24 hours per week Work Days will vary between Monday - Friday Shift 6:30am - 3:30 pm Pay: From $16.25 per hour People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply License/Certification: Driver's License (Required) Work Location: In person
