Operating across the Midwest, Mountain West, and Western U.S., we offer full manhole-to-rack capabilities—handling everything from FTTH distribution networks and ultra-high-count campus ribbon trunks (864F–6,912F+) in entrance vaults to cleanroom data center terminations, Meet-Me Room (MMR) buildouts, and ODF patch panels. We pride ourselves on clean workmanship, ultra-low loss results, and turnkey Tier 1/Tier 2 certification packages. Role Overview We are looking for a well-connected, entrepreneurial Fiber Optic Splicing Estimator & Bid Specialist on a part-time basis to help us launch and scale our subcontracting pipeline across the Midwest, Mountain West, and Western regions . Because we have zero legacy house accounts holding you back, every client and relationship you bring to the table is 100% yours to monetize. You will leverage your existing industry relationships with regional telecom primes, electrical contractors, and network operators to get us onto approved vendor lists, review splice matrices, and put together profitable unit-rate and lump-sum proposals. Key Responsibilities Network Leveraging & Sourcing: Utilize your existing network of telecom prime contractors, commercial electrical/low-voltage contractors, data center integrators, and regional ISPs—specifically across the Midwest, Mountain West, and Western states —to secure invitations to bid (ITBs) for OSP and ISP splicing and testing scopes. Bid Preparation: Develop competitive unit-price and lump-sum bid packages, accurately factoring in loose-tube vs. mass-fusion ribbon production rates, crew mobilization/per diem for regional travel, cleanroom/inside-plant security access time, aerial/vault setups, and strict Tier 1 (OLTS/Fluke) and Tier 2 (bi-directional OTDR, CD/PMD, scope inspection) testing deliverables. Proposal Management: Submit thorough, timely bid packages and follow up directly with procurement managers and project executives to negotiate splicing rates and close contracts. Project Hand-Off: Coordinate with our lead splicers once a project is awarded to ensure a smooth transition of splice matrices, customer test specs, security badge timelines, and budget expectations.
