Part-Time Delivery Driver

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:30 AM–4:00 PM. NO NIGHTS! NO WEEKENDS! Hours: Approximately 25-27 hours per week; additional hours may be available based on business needs About the Position Valley Truck Parts is looking for a dependable Part-Time Delivery Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for safely transporting and delivering heavy-duty truck parts and materials to customers and business locations while providing friendly, professional customer service. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a consistent Monday–Friday daytime schedule and who enjoys being on the road while also helping out around the branch when deliveries are complete. What You'll Do Safely load, secure, transport, and unload heavy-duty truck parts and materials. Deliver parts and materials to customers and business locations accurately and on time. Verify delivery information and maintain accurate delivery records. Provide professional and friendly customer service at delivery locations. Safely operate and maintain the delivery vehicle. Complete daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Document fuel usage, vehicle issues, and maintenance as required. Follow all applicable traffic laws and company safety procedures. Use maps, GPS, and other navigation tools to efficiently plan and complete deliveries. Use good judgment when driving in changing traffic, road, and weather conditions. Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, including the use of carts, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment. Additional Responsibilities When not making deliveries, this position will assist with general branch and warehouse activities, which may include: Assisting with inventory counts and cycle counts. Organizing and maintaining warehouse and branch areas. Cleaning and maintaining delivery vehicles. Assisting the dispatch team with organization and general tasks. Helping with other warehouse or office duties as needed. What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED preferred. Valid driver's license and good driving record. Previous delivery, driving, warehouse, or customer service experience is a plus. Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Comfortable lifting and moving heavy parts and materials. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple deliveries throughout the day. Sound judgment and the ability to make safe decisions in changing traffic and weather conditions. Comfortable using GPS, navigation apps, or maps. Team-oriented and willing to assist with other branch responsibilities when needed. Why Join Us? Pushing and pulling carts, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment. Repeatedly getting in and out of a delivery vehicle. Securing parts and materials for safe transportation. Working outdoors and being exposed to varying weather conditions. Working Conditions Combination of driving, outdoor delivery, and branch/warehouse work. Exposure to varying weather conditions.
