PART TIME CDL A DELIVERY DRIVER - CHESTERFIELD, NH 1 or 2 Day Work Weeks (Saturdays and/or Sundays) 3pm - 6pm Start Times NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED. OPEN TO ANY DRIVER WITH A CDL A LICENSE! $31/hr with $3.50/hr weekend extra pay What does it mean to be part of the Class A Delivery Driver Team? As a Class A Delivery Driver for UNFI, you will support the Chesterfield location by delivering palletized products to corporate and independent retail stores. The essential functions and basic duties of the CDL Driver are to perform pre- and post-trip inspection of their vehicle utilizing knowledge of safe and effective loading and handling procedures. As a Delivery Driver, you are also responsible for delivering and unloading products, reviewing paperwork for completeness and accuracy, checking orders for the correct number of boxes, correcting addresses and support documentation, completing time cards, entering trip data into on-board computer, and completing paper logs if necessary Work Environment and Culture: Comprehensive Benefits Package after 30 days of employment Weekly Pay Safety-first culture Consistent year-round work Modern equipment and tools Opportunity to make a direct business impact Community outreach and on-site celebrations Job Responsibilities: Safely operate a tractor-trailer (53-foot trailer) in both regional and dense metropolitan environments Perform deliveries and unloading of products using appropriate equipment, including ramps, lift gates, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and load bars Execute tight backing maneuvers and precise positioning in rural and urban settings Adhere to all company safety policies and DOT regulations, minimizing accidents, traffic violations, and public complaints Immediately report any accidents or incidents to the Transportation Manager Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and promptly report defects using proper documentation (DCVR) Pick up backhauls and vendor supplies while ensuring all associated paperwork is complete and accurate Verify delivery accuracy, including product count and condition, ensuring orders match customer specifications Address and resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently Complete all required logs, timecards, and trip data entries accurately and on time Job Requirements: Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and current DOT medical card Demonstrated proficiency in safely operating an electric pallet jack in delivery settings Ability to pass a written exam and road test Working knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards Strong written and verbal communication skills Must be at least 21 years of age Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment with minimal supervision About UNFI: We are North America’s premier grocery wholesaler, delivering a wide variety of fresh, branded, and private-label products to community grocers and national retailers.
