Part-Time CDL Tractor Trailer Driver Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time CDL Tractor Trailer Driver and become a vital part of our logistics network! In this role, you will operate a tractor-trailer to transport mainly empty rental and customer trailers efficiently and safely across various routes. You will handle refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and dry vans while ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations. This position offers flexible hours for drivers seeking part-time work with a focus on safety, professionalism, and customer satisfaction. Your expertise in commercial truck driving will help us deliver and pick up trailers promptly and securely to our valued clients. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers on OTR routes, adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and maintain accurate delivery schedules. Transport refrigerated, dry van, flatbed trailers to and from customer locations. Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance and regulations. Manage the documentation process for delivery agreements, and compliance paperwork for Tractor inspections. Maintain communication with dispatchers regarding route progress, delivery updates, and any issues encountered during trips. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially with tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty vehicles. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and dry van according to safety regulations. Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules. Ability to operate automatic as well as manual transmission trucks confidently. Excellent route planning skills utilizing GPS navigation systems for timely deliveries across diverse routes. Skilled in driving safely under various weather conditions while maintaining a professional attitude on the road.
