This Part-time CDL class A and backup Box Truck Driver position transports different types of goods from distribution centers to Cross Docks using a Tractor Trailer and filling in for our box truck drivers. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Safely transport and deliver freight in a timely, efficient, and legal manner Hook and unhook trailers, secure freight, and install/remove tire chains as needed Load and unload freight, including lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying materials Complete required paperwork and maintain DOT-compliant records Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and DOT regulations Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and routine equipment inspections Report maintenance needs and equipment defects promptly Operate a forklift safely and efficiently Represent Meyer and the transportation industry in a professional manner Load and unload trucks using forklift and manlift Heavy lifting of 75+lbs. Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of CDL Class A tractor-trailer driving experience (vehicles over 26,000 lbs.) Valid CDL Class A License with no restrictions Working knowledge of DOT regulations and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations Ability to meet all DOT medical and safety requirements, including drug and alcohol screening Acceptable background investigation results Ability and willingness to operate a forklift cdl class A, regional cdl, dedicated cdl, cdl driver, cdl A truck driver, truck driver class A cdl, cdl, Military Friendly
