Part-Time Catering Delivery Driver

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–12:30 PM Hours: Approximately 16 hours per week Vehicle: Employee must use their own vehicle Gas Reimbursement: Additional $50 per week Job Summary School Caterers prepares and delivers meals to schools throughout the Bay Area. We are looking for a reliable Delivery Driver to help transport school lunches from our kitchen to our delivery locations. This position requires the employee to use their own personal vehicle, so we are specifically looking for applicants with a vehicle large enough to safely transport catering food boxes and supplies. Vehicles such as SUVs, minivans, larger crossovers, wagons, or similar vehicles with substantial cargo space are preferred. Responsibilities Pick up prepared food and catering boxes from our kitchen Load food safely and securely into your vehicle Deliver meals to assigned school locations on time Pick up empty delivery containers from school locations Follow the assigned delivery route and schedule Carefully handle food containers and catering equipment Help load and unload food boxes Keep the vehicle's cargo area clean and suitable for transporting food Communicate with kitchen staff regarding deliveries or delays Return delivery containers gathered from schools Follow company food-safety and delivery procedures Requirements Valid driver's license Reliable personal vehicle with adequate cargo space Current vehicle registration and automobile insurance Safe driving record Reliable and punctual Comfortable driving throughout the local area Able to safely lift and carry catering boxes Smartphone with GPS/navigation capability What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is dependable, responsible, punctual, and careful with deliveries. Because schools depend on receiving meals at specific times, reliability is extremely important. Applicants with previous delivery, catering, restaurant, or food-service experience are welcome, but prior experience is not required.
