Part-Time Backup Delivery Driver Grab It & Go Grinders — Fremont, Michigan $17.00/hour during training · $18.00/hour after training We’re hiring a dependable backup driver to deliver fresh refrigerated sandwiches to convenience stores, hospitals, and vending accounts. Reliability, punctuality, and willingness to drive in Michigan weather—including rain, snow, and winter road conditions—are essential. We need someone who follows through on scheduled shifts and drives safely. Schedule and training Approximately three weeks of paid training on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Training starts promptly at 7 a.m. , generally finishing between 2–4 p.m. Once trained and working independently, your start time is flexible , provided you allow enough time to complete every delivery between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. After training, work begins as backup coverage. Initial weekly hours are not guaranteed. For a reliable driver who successfully completes training, the position could grow to 16–25 hours per week , depending on route coverage and business needs. The work Load, deliver, stock, and rotate sandwiches using a refrigerated 2020 Ford Transit Connect . Use a handheld scanner and printer for invoices and record simple return counts. Training is provided. Routes range from 170–350 miles per day , starting and ending in Fremont. Once working independently, you’re welcome to introduce our program to potential new accounts along your route, helping grow the business and your own route. Prospecting is entirely optional. Requirements At least 18 with a valid driver’s license; no CDL required . No DUI, license suspension, or reckless-driving history; must meet company insurance requirements. Comfortable working independently and driving in winter conditions. Able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Neat appearance: black shirt, presentable outerwear, and clean, non-ripped pants. Delivery, gig, bus, and commercial driving experience are welcome, but we’ll train the right person.
