Part time assistant manager

Duties Assist the store manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures Support sales team leadership by supervising staff, providing coaching, and fostering a motivating environment Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize sales potential Handle customer inquiries with professionalism using phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new team members Oversee POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions, cash handling, and sales processing with accuracy Assist in training staff on operational procedures such as cashiering, inventory management, and POS usage Contribute to budgeting and pricing strategies to meet sales targets and optimize profitability Ensure compliance with store policies, health & safety regulations, and operational standards Support payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and administrative responsibilities as needed Experience Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience within the retail industry is highly preferred Strong knowledge of retail sales techniques, inventory management, and merchandising practices Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams in a retail setting Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math for financial transactions Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers Experience in recruiting, training & development of staff, and employee orientation processes Familiarity with retail industry software for inventory control, purchasing, and sales management Ability to manage time effectively while multitasking in a fast-paced environment Basic bookkeeping skills including payroll processing and record keeping are advantageous Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in store operations and customer service delivery Join us as a Part-Time Assistant Manager to make a meaningful impact on our customers’ shopping experience while advancing your career in retail management!
