Location 2201 George St., Sandusky, OH 44870 Reports To Warehouse Supervisor Job Summary Firelands Vending is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Evening Warehouse Associate to join our operational team. This position is responsible for afternoon and evening closeout duties in the warehouse. The primary focus of this role is maintaining warehouse cleanliness, organizing route returns (totes, crates, and reverse stock), performing daily sanitation, and preparing the facility for smooth morning operations. Core Responsibilities & Daily Tasks Route Return & Inventory Organization Snack Totes: Organize and stack snack totes by color and size. Pop Crates: Organize incoming pop crates and neatly palletize them. Cooler Crates: Properly stack cooler crates by alternating directions layer-by-layer to ensure secure, correct interlocking. Reverse Processing: Process all snack and pop reverse items returning from route drivers. Place reverse items onto designated storage shelves. Ensure all cans placed on the pop line for reverse are separated into their own crates— do not mix flavors in crates. Facility Sanitation & Maintenance (Daily) Trash Removal: Empty all trash receptacles in both the warehouse and breakroom daily. Replace liners in cardboard trash boxes (do not throw away cardboard boxes used as trash containers). Outdated Product Disposal: Inspect for and dispose of outdated food items daily. Consolidate outdated pop onto designated pallets daily while keeping hallways clean and unobstructed. Floor & Equipment Care: Sweep warehouse floors daily, paying special attention to areas under pick lines once pickers are finished. Sweep and clean around the baler area. Sweep and mop beneath reverse shelves and pallet locations. Breakroom Maintenance: Clean breakroom tables, sweep the floor daily, and keep the break area presentable. Weekly & Scheduled Duties Tuesdays & Fridays: Thoroughly clean and sanitize all warehouse bathrooms. Fridays: Clean breakroom microwaves; completely empty and wipe down the breakroom cooler. Wednesdays & Fridays (Product Dating): Date incoming pastries and cookies with exact expiration dates: Pastries: Date 45 days out. Cookies: Date 60 days out. Physical Demands & Work Environment Standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting for the duration of the shift. Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. (crates, beverage cases, totes). Working in a fast-paced warehouse environment alongside route drivers and warehouse personnel. Qualifications Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and ability to work independently as drivers finish their routes. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail (flavor sorting, crate stacking, date tagging). Previous experience in a warehouse, vending, or inventory handling role is a plus. High standard of cleanliness and adherence to safety and food handling practices. Pay: $14.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week Benefits: Employee discount Work Location: In person
