Job Type: Contract (1099) Working Days: Monday to Friday Annual Salary: $60,000-$70,000 Qualifications: Driver must have his or her own delivery van Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is an advantage. Excellent knowledge of local roads, neighborhoods, and delivery routes. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and efficiently without direct supervision. Exceptional customer service and communication skills. Physical ability to lift and carry packages of various sizes and weights. Working as an Independent Contractor (1099): Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Delivery Driver to join our team as an Independent Contractor. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering parcels and packages to various destinations efficiently and promptly. This role requires excellent time management skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. Responsibilities: Safely and efficiently drive your own parcel delivery van to deliver packages to designated locations following assigned routes. Plan and organize daily delivery schedules to ensure timely completion of deliveries. Handle and load parcels securely in your delivery van, ensuring their safety during transportation. Verify the accuracy of delivery addresses and contact information before each delivery. Provide excellent customer service by delivering packages with professionalism and courtesy. Obtain recipient signatures and maintain accurate delivery records. Communicate effectively with the dispatch team regarding any changes, delays, or issues during deliveries. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations during the delivery process. Maintain the cleanliness and proper maintenance of the delivery van. In this position, you will be hired as an independent contractor, which means you will not be an employee of the company but rather a self-employed individual. As a 1099 contractor, you will be responsible for managing your own taxes, including both income and self-employment taxes. The company will not withhold any taxes from your payments, and you will be required to report your earnings to the appropriate tax authorities. Compensation: As an Independent Contractor Delivery Driver, you will be compensated at a rate of $4.50 per stop. The number of stops per day may vary, depending on the delivery schedule and route. This payment structure ensures that you are rewarded for your efficiency and productivity. Schedule: This position requires availability for five days a week, from Monday to Friday. Delivery schedules may vary, and some flexibility might be needed to accommodate changes in delivery demand.
