Pallet Repair Technician (Full-Time)

JOB FUNCTION: As a Pallet Repair Technician, you will assist in preparing and sorting pallets, contributing to an efficient warehouse operation. RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain work area cleanliness and safety Inspect and sort pallets by variety Repair pallets as needed with air stapler Replace deck board and stringers to damaged white wood pallets Install metal plates to split stringers Clear pallet jams on sort lanes Maintain level of work productivity as established by management Assist forking pallets on sort lanes for loading Load pallets on trailers by variety Other duties as assigned BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years old or older Ability to speak and read English High attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment Ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities Basic math skills are required PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift items more than 50 lbs. occasionally, 25 lbs. frequently, and 10 – 20 lbs. continuously Must be able to climb stairs, stand, bend, kneel, twist, reach, and pull frequently TYPICAL EQUIPMENT USED: Air stapler, powered industrial trucks WORK ENVIRONMENT: Temperatures seasonal ranging from 50° - 80° F The Pallet Building has a noisy and busy environment – employees must always remain alert.
