Packing Machine Operator

Ideal Fulfillment is hiring a Packing Machine Operator to own our automated right-size box making machine at our Perris warehouse. Products go in one end; finished, labeled corrugate boxes come out the other. This is a hands-on, part-operator / part-troubleshooter role for someone who is comfortable running equipment and figuring out why it stopped. Description Job Title: Packing Machine Operator Job Type: Full-Time Hours: We operate 7:30AM to 4PM daily Location: Perris, CA Pay Range: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour Job Overview: Ideal Fulfillment (idealfulfillment.com) is seeking a hands-on, mechanically inclined Packing Machine Operator to take ownership of our automated right-size box making machine at our Perris warehouse. The machine measures each order, builds a custom corrugated box to fit it, closes the box, and applies the shipping label, so products go in one end and fully packed, labeled shipments come out the other. This lets us use exactly the box each order needs instead of hunting for a pre-made box that is close enough. This is not a stand-in-one-spot packing job. You will be the machine lead operator and the person our team goes to whenever it needs attention: running it during production, keeping it clean, clearing jams, troubleshooting faults, and working with the manufacturer support desk when an issue is beyond a quick fix. What You Will Do: Serve as the head operator and go-to expert for the automated box making machine. Work the machine as a packer for part of each shift: loading product, watching box quality, and keeping the line moving. Perform the daily pre-shift cleaning cycle and routine upkeep so the machine is ready to run every morning. Clear cardboard jams and correct misfeeds quickly to keep downtime to a minimum. Read machine alerts, troubleshoot error codes, and reset or restart the machine when faults occur. Contact the machine manufacturer support desk when needed, and follow their guidance to get production back up. Perform light preventive maintenance: checking cutting and creasing heads, sensors, and the labeling station, and flagging worn parts before they cause downtime. Monitor corrugate fanfold supply and coordinate restocking so the machine never sits idle waiting on material. Inspect boxes coming off the machine for correct size, clean edges, proper closure, and accurate labeling. Keep the machine area clean, organized, and safe, and follow all safety procedures. Log recurring issues and report them to your supervisor so we can fix them permanently. What We Are Looking For: 18 years or older. Mechanically inclined: comfortable around machinery and motivated to figure out why something is not working. Able to read and follow technical instructions, equipment manuals, and remote support guidance. Comfortable using a computer, tablet, or touchscreen interface to run equipment and look up order information. Strong attention to detail: you are the last check on box size, closure, and labeling. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (corrugate fanfold bundles) and stand for extended periods of time. Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic: the machine only produces when you are here. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Legally allowed to work in the US. Preferred (Not Required): Experience operating packaging machinery, box erectors, conveyors, or other automated equipment. Mechanical, electrical, or maintenance background. Forklift experience.
