Packing and Shipping Specialist

Job Summary We’re hiring a Packing and Shipping Specialist to handle the last step before orders head out the door. You’ll pull items against the order list, pack them securely based on size and fragility, and prep them for pickup by the end of your shift. Order volume isn’t always predictable, so some days move at a steady pace and others pick up fast without much warning. You’ll weigh completed packages, print labels, and sort them into the right carrier lane. We’re a friendly team, and most shifts have a routine, though you’ll need to stay flexible when a rush order needs to go out same-day. You’ll also pitch in on restocking packing supplies as stations run low. Responsibilities Pulling items against the order list and checking accuracy Packing orders securely based on size and fragility Weighing packages and printing shipping labels Sorting finished orders into the correct carrier lane Restocking boxes, tape, and padding at packing stations Scanning completed orders into the system Handling fragile or oversized orders with extra care, which can slow things down a little Clearing packing debris and flattening boxes between batches Qualifications You keep track of small details that others might miss, especially when matching an order against its contents before sealing it. Comfortable English skills are expected, since order lists and shipping labels are written in English. When order volume spikes without warning, you’re able to adjust your pace while keeping packing quality steady. Communication matters when flagging an issue to a supervisor or coordinating with a nearby teammate. Staying organized helps you manage multiple orders at different packing stages at once. You’re generally reliable about showing up on time, especially as the daily shipping cutoff gets closer. A positive attitude helps on days when the packing line runs long without much of a break. You’re willing to learn new packing methods as different products or carriers come into rotation.
