Package Shipping & Receiving Coordinator
ConfidentialPosition Summary The Packaging , Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for packaging finished goods, conducting incoming quality inspections in accordance with ISO procedures, maintaining inventory accuracy, receiving raw materials and purchased components, and ensuring customer orders are shipped accurately and on time. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPackaging & Finished Goods · Package finished washers according to customer specifications and company standards. · Prepare products for shipment using appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transit. · Verify product quantities, labels, certifications, and customer-specific requirements prior to shipment. · Maintain an organized packaging and staging area. Quality & ISO Compliance · Perform incoming inspection and quality checks in accordance with Gates Washer's ISO quality management system. · Complete required inspection records, receiving documentation, and traceability records. · Identify and segregate nonconforming materials. · Support internal audits and maintain compliance with quality procedures and work instructions. · Ensure proper material identification and lot traceability throughout the receiving and shipping process. Receiving & Inventory Control · Receive incoming raw materials, purchased components, and supplies. · Verify shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and delivery documentation. · Inspect incoming materials for quantity, condition, and conformance to specifications. · Record receipts and maintain accurate inventory transactions within company systems. · Properly identify, label, and store materials in designated warehouse locations. · Communicate and resolve discrepancies regarding damaged, missing, or nonconforming materials. Shipping & Customer Delivery · Schedule and coordinate shipments with freight carriers, parcel services, and customer transportation providers. · Prepare bills of lading, shipping labels, and export documentation when required. · Ensure customer orders are shipped accurately and on schedule. · Track shipments and proactively communicate delivery issues to management. · Maintain shipping records and proof-of-delivery documentation. · Printing labels & certifications, and customer-specific requirements prior to shipment. · Generate packing lists and other shipping documentation as required. Warehouse & Safety · Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. · Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely. · Follow all company safety policies and procedures. · Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory activities. · Support production and warehouse operations as needed. QualificationsRequired · High school diploma or GED. · 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing operations. · Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory systems. · Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, packing slips, and work instructions. · Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. · Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain active throughout the workday. Preferred · Experience in a manufacturing environment. · Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems and documentation. · Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification. · Experience using ERP, inventory management, or warehouse management systems. · Knowledge of freight, LTL, UPS, FedEx, and customer shipping requirements.
