Package Handler

Job Summary As a Package Handler, you’ll keep warehouse operations moving by sorting, processing, loading, and unloading mail and shipments. You’ll use safe materials handling practices and equipment to help ensure items reach the right destination on time. This active role may include heavy lifting and outdoor work. Your impact: Accurate shipment sorting and mail processing help customers and coworkers receive the right items efficiently. Responsibilities Sort shipments and mail by destination, prepare items for dispatch, and support mail distribution Load and unload vehicles, move materials, and assist with shipping and receiving Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts when authorized, and automatic inserting machines Complete basic data entry, filing, and Microsoft Office tasks to maintain accurate records Follow warehouse safety procedures while performing manual handling and other warehouse operations Qualifications Ability to perform physical work, including heavy lifting and manual handling, and to work outdoors as needed Basic math, organizational skills, and attention to detail for sorting, processing, and recordkeeping Customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly with coworkers and customers Warehouse experience, including warehouse distribution, shipment sorting, mail processing, or shipping and receiving, is helpful Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is preferred; follow all required authorization and safety procedures Pay: $19.30 - $23.10 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Benefits: 401(k) Health insurance Work Location: In person
