Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks, box trucks, or personal vehicles to deliver packages across designated routes. Load and unload shipments using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies. Adhere strictly to traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and safe lifting practices during all driving and manual handling activities. Navigate routes efficiently using mobile devices or GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries. Interact courteously with customers during delivery, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns professionally. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety compliance and proper functioning of the vehicle. Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and reports in accordance with company policies and regulations. Experience Prior experience in delivery driving or courier services is highly preferred. Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations, including material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks or forklifts, is advantageous. Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely while following manual handling best practices. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) or experience with commercial truck driving is a plus. Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is desirable but not mandatory. Knowledge of route planning, traffic regulations, and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations ensures compliance during all deliveries.
