Package Delivery Driver

Job Overview Southern Carrier Services is seeking experienced package delivery drivers to join our team in the Jonesboro, Arkansas area. Qualified candidates should be comfortable working in a high-volume delivery environment, completing approximately 90–120 stops per day while operating company-provided delivery vehicles safely and efficiently. Previous package delivery experience is required at this time. Candidates with experience at FedEx, UPS, USPS, Amazon DSP, DHL, or similar last-mile delivery companies are strongly encouraged to apply. Experience operating box trucks, P1000/P1200 vehicles, or equivalent delivery vehicles is highly preferred. A CDL is not required; however, candidates with a valid CDL and commercial driving experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Job Type: Full-Time Pay: Up to $200.00 per day Experience: Package Delivery: 3 years (Preferred) License/Certification: Valid Driver's License (Required); CDL (Preferred) Benefits: Health Insurance, Free Life Insurance, 401(k) Eligibility, Paid Training Work Location: In person – Jonesboro, AR 72402 Drivers will complete assigned routes throughout Jonesboro and surrounding areas while maintaining Southern Carrier Services' standards for safety, reliability, efficiency, and customer service. Schedule Full-time Approximately 5 days per week Start time approximately 7:30 AM until route completion Weekends as needed Holiday availability as needed Extended hours may be required based on route volume and business needs Additional workdays may be required during peak seasons Responsibilities Safely operate company-provided delivery vehicles Pick up assigned vehicle and packages from the designated terminal Load, organize, scan, and unload packages Complete assigned package delivery routes safely and efficiently Complete approximately 90–120 delivery stops per day , depending on route and volume Accurately scan and deliver packages Follow assigned routes and adjust to daily route changes when necessary Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Maintain safe driving practices at all times Provide professional and courteous customer service Follow all Southern Carrier Services policies, safety procedures, and applicable DOT regulations Driver Requirements 3+ years of package delivery experience strongly preferred CDL is not required, but CDL holders are strongly encouraged to apply Must be 21 years of age or older Valid driver's license Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Must meet applicable driver qualification requirements Must successfully complete required background screening Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screening Must pass a DOT medical/physical examination, if required for the position Reliable transportation to and from the designated terminal Must be dependable and able to report to scheduled shifts on time Must be available for weekends, holidays, and extended hours when required Physical Requirements Drivers must be able to: Lift, carry, push, and pull packages weighing up to 150 lbs., using appropriate equipment or assistance when necessary Frequently handle packages weighing 50 lbs. or more Repeatedly enter and exit the vehicle throughout the workday Walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, and climb stairs Work on uneven surfaces and terrain Work outdoors in varying weather conditions Benefits & Why Join Southern Carrier Services?
