Job Overview We are seeking a motivated Owner Operator with their own cargo van, Sprinter van, or box truck up to 26 feet in length, equipped with a valid TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card. Duties Safely operate your own cargo or Sprinter van, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws. Load and unload cargo efficiently using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary. Execute delivery routes accurately, ensuring on-time pickups and drop-offs while maintaining communication with dispatch via mobile devices. Handle heavy lifting with proper safety practices, including moving goods within warehouses or customer locations as required. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure your truck or van remains in optimal condition and complies with safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally during deliveries and addressing client needs courteously. Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, mileage, and cargo documentation to ensure transparency and compliance with regulatory standards. Skills Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations involving material handling equipment operation. Strong knowledge of manual transmission vehicles, especially box trucks or cargo vans up to 26 feet. Familiarity with warehouse procedures including moving goods, pallet jack operation, and safe lifting practices. Ability to navigate routes efficiently using mobile devices and route planning tools while adhering to scheduled timelines. Excellent driving record with a focus on adhering to traffic regulations and DOT standards for weight handling in the workplace. Customer service skills that foster positive interactions with clients during deliveries. Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting, loading, unloading, and moving items safely.
