ConfidentialJob Summary L3 Transport LLC/ POG Movers & Helpers is seeking qualified Owner Operators and Independent Carriers across the United States for a professional lease-on opportunity. If you have an operational truck and are looking for a carrier to lease onto, L3 Transport LLC provides the carrier relationship, dispatch support, load booking, rate negotiation, and ongoing operational assistance needed to keep your truck moving. This opportunity is open to both experienced operators and qualified newer carriers. We work with local, regional, and OTR operations and accept a variety of commercial equipment. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers and specialized trucks such as flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated units on over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Manage logistics cargo handling including load & unload procedures, securing hazardous materials in accordance with hazardous materials regulations and dangerous goods protocols. Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery routes and meet delivery schedules promptly. Transport freight across various distances, including long-haul routes that may involve hazardous materials or dangerous goods requiring specialized handling and documentation. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips; perform manual handling tasks related to truck loading/unloading and cargo securing. Ensure compliance with all safety standards related to hazardous materials regulations, hazard communication, and proper documentation for automobile transportation. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance logs, inspection reports, and compliance documentation in line with FMCSA and DOT regulations. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving, delivery driving, or over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Familiarity with operating various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, refrigerated units, or dump trucks. Knowledge of freight handling procedures such as truck loading/unloading, forklift operation (preferred), and logistics cargo management. Experience transporting hazardous materials or dangerous goods is highly desirable along with understanding of hazardous materials regulations. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the types of cargo transported; Hazmat certification is a plus. Strong understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and safety protocols for commercial driving. Ability to handle manual transmission trucks comfortably; experience with manual handling tasks related to cargo is essential. Excellent navigation skills using GPS systems combined with route planning expertise for efficient deliveries across diverse locations.
