Owner Operator Truck Driver

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating commercial vehicles to transport freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience with heavy equipment, and the ability to perform basic automotive repairs when necessary. As an Owner Operator Driver, you will have the opportunity to manage your own schedule while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks and heavy equipment to transport freight to various locations Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance records Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting to address minor mechanical issues Adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation laws and safety regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit Experience Proven experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields Proficiency in operating forklifts, heavy equipment, and other loading/unloading machinery Knowledge of automotive repair fundamentals for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues Strong understanding of safety protocols related to freight handling and heavy equipment operation Prior experience as an owner operator or independent driver is preferred but not required; relevant training will be provided if necessary This position offers the opportunity for autonomous work with a focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism.
