OWNER OPERATORS WITH THEIR TRUCKS: 53 FEET 26 FEET 20 FEET OTTAWA / TORONTO / KINGSTON Duties Safely operate your own commercial truck to transport freight between designated regional hubs, including Ottawa, Toronto, and Kingston. Load and unload freight using equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo. Conduct routine inspections of your vehicle and heavy equipment to maintain optimal performance and safety standards. Manage freight documentation accurately, including delivery manifests and shipping logs, ensuring compliance with company policies. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route adjustments, and any operational issues. Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to minimize downtime during deliveries. Adhere strictly to all transportation regulations and safety protocols to ensure a secure and compliant operation. Experience Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license suitable for operating heavy-duty vehicles. Familiarity with freight handling procedures and the use of forklifts or other lifting equipment is highly desirable. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and basic automotive repair techniques will set you apart. Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial transportation and heavy machinery operation. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently under tight deadlines.
