Overview As an Owner-Operator – Long-Haul Trucking (Canada), you transport freight over long distances, coordinating safe, reliable deliveries while managing your truck and day-to-day operations. The role combines commercial driving, equipment care, and clear communication with customers and colleagues. Duties Plan routes and schedules, inspect your truck, and transport freight safely between destinations. Coordinate pickups, deliveries, and shipment updates with customers, dispatchers, and other partners. Maintain accurate trip and delivery records, and report delays or equipment concerns promptly. Perform routine vehicle checks and basic upkeep, arranging repairs when needed. Your impact: Reliable deliveries help customers keep shipments moving and colleagues coordinate freight efficiently. Skills Required: Commercial driving capability, sound route planning, safe vehicle operation, accurate recordkeeping, and practical awareness of truck condition support dependable long-haul work. Preferred: Forklift skills, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair knowledge can support loading coordination, equipment handling, and routine maintenance.
