Owner Operator/Independent Contractor

We are a small family-owned trucking company. Our owner operators/Independent Truck Drivers usually begin their weekly runs at home. You don't move or relocate. Our office is in Indiana but you only have to go there to complete paperwork, pick up stickers, trailer plate and ELD if applicable, during the hiring process. Candidates must have their own semi truck with a sleeper berth which must be able to pass a DOT inspection. We may be able to help you with a 53' trailer lease if you do not have your own trailer. (NO REEFER VANS) Our trailer rentals are $450 a month. < If you have your own Dry Van; it must be 102" wide, have sling doors and be no more than 10 years old> Candidates must possess a current CDL, Class A drivers license and be able to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and a thorough background check. You MUST have at least 2 years of recent over the road experience and 2 years of recent owner/operator experience. Candidates must not have a criminal record and have a good driving record. We work with our drivers to get them home whenever they need or want to be home; however, if you are looking to drive only locally or be home every night, this company is not for you. There are no forced loads ; as an owner/operator with Prest Xspress, you can choose which loads you prefer to run and you can even book your own loads if you like. Our owner/operators keep 85% of every load they haul and are paid every week with direct deposit to your bank.
