Role Description The Owner Operator courier driver is a full-time, on-site role based in Selkirk, MB. In this role, the driver uses their own insured and well-maintained vehicle to pick up, transport, and deliver packages and documents to various commercial and residential locations. Day-to-day tasks include following assigned routes and schedules, loading and unloading items safely, obtaining signatures or delivery confirmations, and maintaining accurate delivery records. The role requires consistent communication with dispatch, adherence to traffic and safety regulations, and professional interaction with customers at each stop. The Owner Operator is also responsible for basic vehicle upkeep, managing fuel and operating costs, and ensuring all deliveries meet service standards and timelines.
Qualifications
• Strong driving skills with a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and familiarity with local and regional routes.
• Customer service abilities, including professional communication, courtesy at delivery locations, and responsiveness to client needs.
• Organizational and time management skills to plan routes, prioritize deliveries, and maintain accurate logs or digital records.
• Physical capability to lift, carry, and move packages of varying sizes safely and repeatedly throughout the workday.
• Ownership of a reliable, suitably sized vehicle in good working condition, with appropriate insurance coverage.
• Basic technology skills to use smartphones or handheld devices for navigation, delivery tracking, and communication with dispatch.
• Ability to work independently, demonstrate reliability, and maintain professionalism while representing the company.
• Previous experience in courier, delivery driving, or logistics is an asset but not required.
